FDA Status and Regulatory Disclosure

Regenerative medicine products and related biological products are regulated under federal law.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has stated that the only stem-cell products currently approved in the United States are certain cord-blood-derived, blood-forming stem-cell products approved for disorders affecting blood production. Those products are not approved for other uses.

The FDA has also stated that there are currently no FDA-approved exosome products.

Unless Mesagen Health expressly identifies a specific product as FDA-approved for a particular use, you should not assume that a stem-cell-related or exosome product has been reviewed or approved by the FDA for the condition, purpose, or outcome being discussed.

PRP is generally prepared using an individual’s own blood. The regulatory status of PRP equipment and components is different from FDA approval of a drug or biological product. Clearance or approval of a device used to prepare PRP does not necessarily mean that the FDA has approved PRP as a treatment for a particular condition.

FDA approval, authorization, registration, listing, and device clearance are different regulatory concepts and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Mesagen Health does not represent that an offering can diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a disease unless that representation is legally permitted and appropriately supported.
